Follow the light gray letter with gold strokes. Gurmukhi letters hang from a horizontal hairline, like laundry on a washing line.

Choose a letter
How Gurmukhi works: 35 consonants hang from the hairline, 10 matras change their vowel sound, and Punjabi has its own set of digits. Most matras attach to a consonant, only ੳ, ਅ and ਇ can start a word alone.
